How To Giftwrap A Notebook

Finished Gift Wrapped Notebook

Here’s a quick and easy craft you can do to use up excess wrapping paper, or to cover up those embarrassing “Ben loves Jen” scribblings.

Supplies:

Scissors

Double stick tape

Heavy wrapping paper

Ribbon

Other accoutrements of your choosing

gift wrapped notebook supplies#1- Using scissors, cut 2 pieces of wrapping paper approximately the size of your notebook covers.  Leave 1-2” extra around three edges.#2- Place a strip of double stick tape near the spiral binding of the notebook and peel off the protective layer.#3- Place the side of the wrapping paper that does not have extra length on it against the double stick tape.  Try to keep it straight, but the ribbon will cover the edge, so perfection isn’t necessary.

#4- Open the notebook so that you can see the inside of the cover.  Carefully fold the wrapping paper around the edge of the cover and place double stick tape where the edge of the wrapping paper ends on the inside of the notebook cover.  Remove protective cover from tape, and press wrapping paper onto tape firmly.  Ribbon can be added to cover paper edges.

#5- Close notebook.  Place double stick tape along spiral spine of notebook covering the edge of the wrapping paper.  Remove protective cover from tape and place ribbon on top of tape.  Press down firmly, and trim to fit.

#6- Add accoutrements as you see fit.  Name tags and bows fit the theme as do many scrapbooking supplies.
